HOMEOPATHY: GREAT FOR FAMILY HEALTH
Homeopathy is a system of natural healthcare that has been in existence for a few hundred years. It is a regulated system of medicine in Ontario Canada and is used by millions of people worldwide, most notably in India, South America and Europe. It is recognized by the World Health Organization as the second largest therapeutic system of medicine in the world and can be safely used by infants, children and people of all ages to treat acute and chronic diseases when under the supervision of a Homeopathic Practitioner.
BECOME A MEMBER OF THE OHMA
The Ontario Homeopathic Medical Association offers membership to students, Homeopaths who are licensed in the province of Ontario and professional homeopaths in other Provinces. Below you may make application to the association and provide proof of education and licensing. If you are not sure which level of membership you fall under or have questions, please contact us via email.
Upon receipt of your completed application package, your application will be submitted to the Membership Committee who will notify you regarding your OHMA membership eligibility, and will inform you of the requirements you may need to fulfill in order to meet the homeopathic standards of practice. Professional members must meet these standards.
Eligibility for a Certificate of Professional Membership
You are eligible for full professional membership if you are a member of the College of Homeopaths of Ontario (CHO) or a graduate of a CHO approved school. The Ontario Homeopathic Association has set the highest standards for membership in Canada. Note: the Board of Examiners of Homeopathic Association reserves the right to deny registration to an applicant. A certificate of professional membership maybe conditionally granted to prospective members who do not meet the complete professional membership standards as set by the association. These applicants will be required to submit a signed letter of intent stating their commitment to upgrade their credentials.
A certificate of professional membership is a registration category granted by the OHMA in recognition of a homeopath’s achievement in educational excellence.
